Why your feedback matters

De-identified health data plays a vital role in understanding public health across Australia. This data helps us identify trends, plan for emergencies, and improve health outcomes for everyone. However, it is crucial that we handle this data transparently and ethically, in line with community expectations.

Your feedback will be key in developing policies that ensure our data practices are clear, ethical, and respectful of individual privacy.

How to have your say

We invite all Australians to share their thoughts, experiences, and opinions. Your feedback will help us shape guidelines that govern how we use health data, ensuring it is used responsibly to benefit public health.

You can provide feedback in several ways:

  • writing – through our online submission form, by email, or via handwritten responses
  • voice notes – by leaving a voice note or voicemail.

To share your feedback, please see the consultation.

Consultation period

The consultation is open from 30 August 2024 to 30 September 2024. We encourage all community members to take part. Your feedback will help us create a CDC that reflects the values and needs of all Australians.
